Yes! But I only underline and then tab the pages. I still want them to look neat & I hate my hand writing… So if there is an actual note I really want to make I will put it on a big sticky note on the page under the underlined section.
I also colour code. Pink: love that quote/love this Orange: Unexpected/shocking Yellow: Important information/something that doesn’t fit the other colours but want to remember when reviewing Green: Angry at the book/at the writing Blue: Sad moment Purple: Funny/reference to other books, movies or tv shows.
I have never wrote in any of my books, except for my bible. I don’t think I could ever actually bring myself to write in them. However, I do want to start tabbing some of my books. I thought that was a neat idea. I also love the color coded method, but idk if I could be that organized lol.

yes. i highlight lines i love and insert book tabs sometimes ill write in the margins but i usually get lazy and stop when i get rlly into the story

One of my friends uses colour tabs and has a colour code it’s a pretty good idea x
Yes I annotate in some books. Sometimes if I’m really into a story I’ll forget to annotate.
I keep a notebook or a pad of paper nearby to jot down anything I find I really want to remember about what I’m reading.
