I think he did the first few? I can’t remember in the later ones. He also narrated the first few seasons of pocoyo and it’s just delightful! I wish my son didn’t grow out of it 🙁
I think people still ask it because, at least to me, it’s a vastly different experience. Its the difference between normal chicken and seasoned chicken. Both are good but a little extra flavour really steps it up
No, they ask because some people feel like it’s cheating. That just because their eyes didn’t see the words on the page it can’t count. I just hate that that stigma exists.
Yeah, I think that would be very frustrating – I haven’t been confronted with opinions like that, luckily. A lot of people are on the same page (ha pun intended) that I am and that it counts as reading but is a totally different experience
It absolutely counts as reading and I listen to an audiobook every weekday. I listen during my commute to and from work. I also listen while sitting at my desk working. If i didn’t listen to audio books my reading would be cut down to only an hour or two in the evening and weekends.
Yes and yes! I listen to them when I’m working, driving, doing house work, etc. And audio books definitely still count as reading the book, the story is still the same no matter if you hear or see it.
I’d love to listen to audiobooks but the only ones I’ve listened to have incredibly annoying voices, particularly when it comes to characters speaking. Any recommendations?
I like the throne of glass ones, and the one for the winners crime (but thats the second book in a trilogy, I read the first and listened to the second and third)
I only very rarely listen to audiobooks but I love it and I totally count it as reading. It’s like 4D reading 😛
I sadly don’t listen to them, I have been wanting to but I feel like I won’t pay 100% of my attention on it. I get distracted so easily
I used to worry about that until I listened to my first audiobook. It was Harry Potter and Stephen Fry really knows how to narrate
Stephen Fry did Harry Potter? That must be amaaazing ❤️

I have no clue who Stephen Fry is ???
I scoured through so many stephen fry gifs and this was the best one without swearing lol
I kinda recall his face – is he in any shows?
Sherlock I think? thats a MAAAYbe though
Im pretty sure he’s in V for Vendetta too
He’s in Alice in Wonderland (live action) and the final Hobbit movie. No wonder I recognize him!
Who is he in the final hobbit?!?!
Not too sure and Google doesn’t tell me ?? I just know he was in it
When in doubt IMDB it out (embarrassing how long it took me to come up with that rhyme) Turns out home boy was the master of laketown
Oh! Wow!
He was also in Bones. He was Booth’s psychiatrist or something.
I hate that people have to ask this. Do you get the same information? Do you absorb all of the same words? Yes, it counts.

I am with @Rhiannon, it’s just a different experience and people are just not sure if it counts or not I suppose.

Same
Only started listening to some end of last year. Yes, I do count them. I only listen to unabridged ones. I’ve been using an app called Hoopla.

Totally addicted to Audible. Totally counts. Cured my road rage.

I use the text to speak function on my kindle to listen to books every day. I listen while I iron or clean. I use it at the allotment too ?
That’s soooo clever!
The voice grows on you after a little while but I remember it felt odd at first.
Like a GPS navigating you through a dream? 😛
