“a deep emotional state of nostalgic or profound melancholic longing for an absent something or someone that one loves. Moreover, it often carries a repressed knowledge that the object of longing might never return.”

Wasn’t trying to be ugly. It seems I live in this state. Is there a cure?

I don’t think there is a cure. Every time I finish a story I’m like “Oh f*** back to the real world where there are politicians, and school shootings, and war, and blah, blah, blah,….”
So then I go back to reading and try to forget for a little while longer how much everything sucks.

I just finished the Wheel of Time for the second full read through and my first thought is if Harriet McDougal would want Brandon Sanderson to write more in the 4th age…
