Kobo is amazing however just not as widespread so books are more expensive

Kobo is out of Canada. Many independent bookstores in the US and Canada sell ebooks for Kobo.

Used to have a kobo and liked it enough, it wasn’t a bad device. Changed to a paperwhite a few years ago and the jump in features and availability of books has cemented me in the land of kindle.

I had to double-check but it looks like all my books are available on Kobo. So, YAY! I don’t use it as much, since I mostly read hard copy books. Reason being that I have to stare at a lot of electronic screens for work, and it’s more restful for my eyes to read regular pages.

Anyway, shameless self-promotion. If you have a Kobo, I have lighthearted murder mysteries! http://jaymims.com/

Kobo vs kindle? You can earn points on kobo for free books later. Kindle is cheaper or the same price, but kobo will price match.

I love my Kobo. I like to read it especially (when hubby is tired, in bed.) I read when he is sleeping with no lights on and its fantastic that I can make the font larger…still like my hardcover books for bathtub reading etc…so sometimes 2 books on the go

I have two Kobos, one is touch screen. They pack a lot of books cheaper than paperback and you can get a lot of classic literature for free. I use them for travel, but prefer the feel of a real book.

I have a Kobo. I don’t use it much as I prefer paper books, but I do like it when I actually use it.

Same: I prefer regular books, but my Kobo works great, so I tend to use that one while on the road.

I was very unhappy with mine. Week out of warranty a new update crashed my first touch. I emailed but cause its out of warranty I got a % off a new one. Bought #2 and same bloody thing happened. So I gave up and bought a cheap tablet. Had that for 2 years now and its still going amazing. I use kobo, google play and kindle app…

Thanx to this page, now I know there’s an app called a kobo. I’m in South Africa and in my language Kobo means a blanket. Most probably pronounced differently though. LOL

I have the Kobo Aura One. In my opinion it far surpasses the Kindle in quality (screen resolution and built in comfort light — google it). ALSO the Aura One connects directly to overdrive via wifi so I can borrow all my books on the fly from my local library (or any library that supports overdrive).
