I’d say Bhagwad Gita, but it’s not something I recommend reading to someone who’s not a Hindu.
I am not Hindu but I really enjoyed the book.

I can’t remember the author, but I recommended ‘The Four Agreements’. IMO it’s a map to living an ethical, happy life. I doubt that any organized religion could fault it.
