Does anyone have recommendations on books about gypsy culture?
The use of the word Gypsy is seen as derogatory. Better to search for info about the Roma culture or people of Romani heritage.

@Ashleigh Bury Me Standing. Gypsy Violins by Steve Piskor are non-fiction. Wild Rose by Doris Mortman is good fiction.

This book is meant for kids (grades 6-8) but I LOVED it!
Gipsy Boy by Mike Walsh. Hard hitting and uncomfortable read at times but interesting read.
