I have audible. I use it all the time but I travel for work so it’s great for me. And each month you get a free credit which you can use for any book. So the cost if the subscription it’s buying a book

Thanks. Would you say it’s worth it to get?

I would say yes. Especially if you travel or listen while you clean house or anything

$14.95/month. They also have one for 2 credits a month and yearly plans where you get 12 or 24 all at once. Plus 30% off anything else you buy and LOTS of sales.

@Leslie is that the Canadian or American one?

@Leslie I think I should’ve got the American one. I got the free trial of the Canadian one.

@Leslie how do you buy three credits and how do upgrade to two credits a month?

Leslie

You have to be under 3 to get the thing by the number you have that you can click on to buy 3 more. To change your membership type, you goto the dropdown menu under your name and click on “Account Details.” Under the type of membership you have there should be a button that says “Switch Membership.” You might not be able to do those things during the trial period, though.

I love it! I get 2 credits a month for like $24 dollars. And if you have the kindle version of a book you can add the Audible for $7.50ish most of the time.

Go to audible on your browser and scroll down to “account details” at the bottom of the page then click “switch membership”

The two credits plan is platinum monthly. And the buy three credits is in the top right corner.

I mainly use Overdrive but sadly, some publishers don’t release their audiobooks to Overdrive. So, I have an Audible account to buy those audiobooks.

One thing I just learned (which I find awesome) is that if you listen to a book and didn’t care for it you can return it and get your credit back within minutes of your return.

That’s a great feature for sure. I downloaded ACOTAR and listened to the first chapter.

Audible recently added a romance collection add on that’s only $6 a month and you can listen to TONS of romance books. And they aren’t just like sappy harlequin type books, but there’s a good mix of fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary amongst many others. And I really like the categories they have. I don’t even like romance as a genre, generally, but I’ve gotten an absurd amount of use from this add on already. Now if they would release a fantasy collection add on, I would be in heaven.

I don’t think the romance one would be worth it for me, even if it’s not just the “traditional” kind but fantasy or mystery – yeah!

It’s great. I had it for a while and really enjoyed it until I discovered I could get audiobooks free through my libraries (I live in Sydney and am currently a member of 4 different library so I get access to thousand of audiobooks)

I love it – have had it for years. The only problem is that unless I lose my eyesight (God forbid!) I’ll probably never have time to listen to all the books I’ve got.

I’ve got it and I love it – I listen to books when I’m walking my dog, plus when I’m doing housework!

I’ve had it since 2012 and love it. You can get just about any title and they offer monthly credits and discounts. I just canceled my monthly plan but I get to keep all the books I’ve purchased over the years. I’ve just recently subscribed to Playster and it’s the same monthly price but you don’t pay per audio book. I’ve found a ton of titles I’ve been wanting on there and as long as you don’t mind that you don’t own the books. You can listen unlimited. Even download the book to your phone so you don’t pay for data.

I tried it and while I love how it has every version of audio books I want, it’s expensive for just one audiobook a month.

I just use the free version I get with Amazon prime. And audio books from my library!

I love it! I’ve had it for years (ever since I got it to replace all the cassette tapes I used to listen to). I listen to books on the way to work and driving ti my cottage on weekends. I have a huge library, and am listening to many for the second time round. It also has a feature called “channels” where you can listen to a lot of free stuff on various themes – from sci fi short stories to scientific american articles, to current events…and lots of other topics.
