Read something totally opposite of what you normally do. Try a new genre, start a reading challenge

When I was in a reading slump in August I had trouble finding what I wanted to read… then I had picked something easy like Narnia books

Switch genres from what you usually read I normally like historical romance but when I get in a slump I will switch to contemporary mysteries or contemporary romance.

Usually for me it’s about getting back in the habit of reading if I’ve been staying up all night crafting or working instead. I’ll take two random books I’ve been meaning to read and let one of my dogs pick for me (completely impartial, though usually the older the book I know they’ll probably be more interested in the smell of), and then make myself read x-amount of pages at least every couple of days before bed.
