Scary Stories to Tell Like The Dark series. Still can’t read those and I’m in my 20s. I’ll be back if I remember more

Heart-shaped box by Joe Hill. The silent companions by Laura Purcell is a really good old fashioned gothic story.
My favorite genre. Try “a little stranger”, “the widow’s house”, “the haunting of Maddy Clare” and “the disapparence at devil’s rock”

House by Frank Peretti and Ted Decker was pretty scary, easy read too.
