A Man Called Ove by Fredrick Backman has a somewhat dark theme but it startled me into laughing out loud several times! The movie based on the book is also worth watching (Swedish, subtitled).

Any of the collections of Lisa Scottoline’s columns. They are hysterical. Make sure it is a collection of columns because she also writes serious mysteries and they are good but not humerous.
