Thinking about it it’s what I do whenever I read a series, its very rare that I will read anything else in between series books unless it’s a planned thing, e.g. I am participating in the Shadowhunter Chronicles read along this year so reading one Shadowhunter book a month until the release of the final book of the latest trilogy in December. Otherwise I read them one after the other.
