So how would you define that? Not sure what you mean.
Have tried reading several other books but they are just not capturing my attention. I am still thinking about my previous read.
Thank you. Was just curious. Never happened to me.
Is that what it’s called.. what’s worse is enjoyed the storyline but can’t remember author or title.
You’re not on your own Hazel. I forget names and authors all the time. Especially since having a Kindle. With a proper book, I’m seeing the cover all the time so I suppose my brain remembers that but with a kindle you don’t. ? That’s my excuse and In sticking to it x
Frailty by Betsy Freeman Reavley gave me one
Marcie Steele (@Mel) gave me one after reading Stirred with Love
I reckon @Mark has just given me one with The abattoir of dreams
I’m having the same problem after reading the same book! Don’t know how I’ll cope until he releases a new one ???
Do you think we will meet Mr J again?
I actually hope so….
Yep, after reading The Watcher by @Netta. X
Ah yes. That was another one that gave me a book hangover .
Me too
Bye then.
How rude Chris Symington
Lol Susan.
Was looking at The Caller this morning . Can it be read as a standalone?
They can all be read as a standalone it is only the characters of Robert Hunter and Carlos Garcia which you get to know through each book
I’d recommend all the series
It is for crime fiction lovers, a lot of the books I read are by said publishers but if you want a list of other fantastic authors whose books stay with you let me know
Apple Tree Yard. Critics, in the UK at least, raved about it but it was total tish.
Hope the door didn’t hit you on the backside on way out
Yes happens to me when I read a really brilliant book have to switch subject go from crime to trash or history. It’s the only way I can clear my head.
I think I need something different to serial killers
Try The Taliban Cricket Club or Never Let Me Go
Thanks for reminding me about Chris Carter. I binge read 6 of his books a while back. Absolutely brilliant! I now have two more to read ?
Daisy in Chains by @Sharon. Couldn’t stop thinking about it! Brilliant book. Was reluctant to start anything else as I knew it couldn’t possibly measure up :/
Just about to start this but i love everything she’s written.
After reading In Plain Sight.
Having the same problem @Susan after reading Winterscroft, Anita Waller..!! Have two on the go but can’t click with either of them.!
Sorry ????????
I had this after finishing backstabber
Loved a John Harvey Resnick but found out it was book 3 in a series. Will need to buy the rest in audio books now.
Yes. I’ve been there. It can take days before I pick up another book. Other times, I finish one and dive straight into another. I totally get where you’re coming from x
Presumed innocent
Yes, finished Peter Robinson’s latest (When the Music’s Over) the other day and I’m so invested in his world that the book I’m reading now is just not gripping me. This happens a lot!
I’ve just started The Crucifix Killer – a way to go until the Caller but I’m hooked already!
A great series. I hope you “enjoy” them!
Thanks Susan.
Doesn’t seem quite right when you enjoy gory and gruesome reads! Haha
I know what you mean! Still keep reading them though!! ?
A book is an entertainment source ,if you don’t like it put it down ,iff you do like it read it ,simples really ,must finish my Karen Rose latest now
