Does anyone else put off re-reading a book for fear of not loving it as much as the first time? ?

Books and movies both. Unless I put a couple of years between reads, I’m always a little disappointed the second time around when the experience isn’t as magical as I remember it.
I’m not much of a re-reader. Not sure if it’s for that reason or if I’m always on to something new.
Do you tend to remember books really well? I always forget details and what happens really quickly, so rereading is easy for me since it tends to feel half new
@Bridget no I’m old AF so I forget everything. Just key moments will stick in my mind.
I don’t re read books, because I have too many new ones to read that I’m never going to finish….
@Amy so true…
I reread Twilight recently and it’s definitely not as good as I remember. There are very few books I’ll reread.
I reread several. Have been disappointed on some, have fallen even more in love with others, and a couple just feel like home. ❤️
Nope. I love a good reread!
@Reagan I have been known to just re-read the dirty parts ?
… Yes. Currently me with the Twilight saga ?
Nope. ?
