Yes! I just now got hooked on parks and rec and am trying to binge watch it while reading all my library books before they are due back lol!

Oh no! That’s the worst, it’d be dangerous for me to be part of the library because half the time I do spend the day binge watching? even worse with a long series like that! I’m currently watching Desperate Housewives and it’s kept me from reading sooo much!

0
Brooke

@Delainey I usually don’t have much of an attention span for tv but I have been trying for years to like parks and it just finally clicked lol! I have 4 books on my overdrive for Kindle, all due back in 13 days. I need to hurry!

That’s smart! I just hope and pray streaming services don’t take off what I’m watching when I’m halfway done with it lol! I was the opposite today, tried making a big dent in what I’m currently reading so I can binge tonight?

1
Charles

I’m one of those all or none types. Usually

That’s been me recently! I’ve honestly been so bad, took me a month to finish my most recently read book because I’ve been binging Desperate Housewives for three weeks straight??

1
Sadaf

I haven’t watched any of my shows the last several months. So I was binge watching all of them before the season premieres. I also got so behind in my reading lol!!! ???

I’m even worse after Amazon Prime! It depends really whether I’ve got a good series to watch or not, but once I find one with over 5 seasons my reading schedule is screwed?

1
Elaine

Delainey Koons sometimes happens, so you’re not alone. ??

1
Kayleigh

@Delainey Know the feeling! I have that much on the go on Now TV too that I am still reading the same book a week later. Usually only takes me 3 to 4 days

Hahaha, same, I feel bad for my book characters and it’s like I’m sorry for betraying you? it’s just so much easier for me to focus on a tv series than a book, which I know is so lazy for my brain but I can’t stop either lol!

I had this issue today. I wanted to read The Glass Ocean (by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White) but I really wanted to watch The Crown. And that won out. I’ve read three books in 2 weeks so I figured I could take a day.

@Christine Started Mad Men. Great ensemble acting and sets, but beyond that it went on about four years too long.

Nope. The internet connection out here in the boonies is too slow & crappy for Netflix to be viable. It tends to be more a battle of which book to read, or just hitting the fanfic sites again.

No struggle. Netflix is mostly garbage. The only difference between network garbage and Netflix is the latter’s ability to employ obscene language and nudity
