I find annotating especially useful if there are a large number of characters or the names are foreign. Helps me keep everyone straight! Read a book recently that introduced 30 characters in first 24 pages!
I never thought about the amount of characters, and trying to keep track. I’m currently reading a library book, but I’m obsessed with it, so I have it on order. Lol while I’m waiting for my copy, I have post-it’s and slips of paper everywhere in this book. I’m still debating if I’m going to write in it, or just keep with the sticky notes, for this one at least.
I do! ?
Any pointers for those of us who have not yet stated but would like to?
Start with pencil!
Use a spiral bound notebook and note page and line number, if you are concerned about defacing the book or space to write
@Tori I write on a 4×6 index card, which also serves as a bookmark, then leave in the book when done.
@Anne that’s a good idea! Thank you! ?
Yes!
Sometimes, if a passage moves me or makes ask a question.
Yas! I love reading and writing at the same time!
No way!
Yes, the classics!
Only cookbooks.
The ones I read for research purposes.

I use post it notes
