Alan Gregory series by Stephen White and the Alex Delaware series by Jonathan Kellerman both have psychiatrists as the main characters, Minette Walters if you like psychological mysteries, Michael Connolly (whose Hieronymous “Harry” Bosch has a series on Amazon Prime starring Titus Welliver), Mallory series by Carol O’Connor, Dick Francis, The Alienist and Angel of Darkness by Caleb Carr
Murders in the Rue Morgue.
“The Couple Next Door” by Shari Lapena; “Three Days Missing” by Kimberly Belle. Both good reads.

I am more into the hardboiled than the whodunit, and Raymond Chandler is my favorite there. Loren D. Estleman is also good.
I loved Lying in Wait and Unraveling Oliver by Liz Nugent.
