I don’t have favourites, I just enjoy reading them. I tend to stick to their general ones, or ones that seem more relevant to me personally though.

It’s a series of inspirational books… Chicken Soup for the Soul, Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul, Mother’s Soul, Father’s Soul, etc… The premise is that they’ll help your soul just like a good bowl of soup helps your body when you’re sick.

I don’t put much stock in them… But who’m I to judge if it helps someone else through a rough patch.

I absolutely love these books. I try to read at least one a month; One bookcase shelf is devoted to all my chicken soup books. I haven’t had a favorite yet.

Some of the stories in the books will make you cry. Some will make you happy, sad, emotional, excited. They’re great books.

I read cat lovers & horse lovers. While the stories were “cute”, once I realized they were religious based, I completely lost interest in them.

Ironically enough, my mother once stated she didn’t like the Chicken Soup books too much because she felt they “weren’t religious”. #gofigure

My favorite is the Chicken Soup for the Cat lover’s Soul! It made me laugh and cry, and some of those stories are so heart warming.
I also enjoyed the Pet lovers Soul. ?
