Burn me. Burn me with a copy of “Calico Joe” . . . Aside from that . . . it’s like I tell this funeral company what calls me all the time . .. “I don’t plan on dying” . . .smilin’
Oh my ashes will go to the bay lass . . . I didn’t think about that part when I was answering this query . . .where? . .. didn’t even consider the where? . . . the bay. Benicia, CA . .. 9th Street . . . my family knows (I think?) . . .jez, now you got me wondering . . . sol
I could see that, it’s on my ID . . . take as long as they need . . .but in the end . . . I prefer a burn . .. and I’d that copy of Grishams “Calico Joe” . .. and be in the bay after. You don’t plan on the rest of your death life in the university do you? smile.
Oh here I go again . . . I could see that, it’s on my ID . . . take as long as they need . . .but in the end . . . I prefer a burn . .. and I’d that copy of Grishams “Calico Joe” . .. and be in the bay after. You don’t plan on the rest of your death life in the university do you? smile.
@Angela it’s just a ‘surprise’ question to her…here in India we are cremated only. And that is holy to us. That’s what our religion demands. But I asked her ‘why’ pertaining to her religious sentiments. That’s it.
No. I’d rather pass my fave book/s onto family or friends in hopes that they will enjoy it or think of me when they read it or see it on their shelves.
Probably cremation so it would be the least expensive option for my family. It would be pretty cool to be cremated with my favorite books though. To be melded with the ashes of my favorite books for all eternity…yeah that sounds pretty awesome actually ?
Interesting thought. “The one’s I’ve not crossed” . . . I read bits and parts, but I might have to include the bible in this one . .. never thought it before .. . now. I have. 😉
Oh god I hadn’t thought about what imma do with my books. I want to donate my body to the body farm and train the next round of forensic scientists through my decomposition. What will I do with the books??
I guess I can make more of an effort to know my cousins’ kids and see if they read when they’re older. Only one of my close friends wants kids, maybe hers will read
No, I want my books to hopefully be loved by my future children and their children. Also, I want a green burial at a nature preserve cemetery (being buried there protects the land from development and you help nourish the environment there) and I’m not sure they allow objects to be buried with you, esp since I’ll just be in a shroud, no coffin.
Just two the love dare and Jane Austen. Both are more than books to me. One was the best marriage advice I ever got after my first divorce and the second is why I read my uncle the man who raised me had me reading it by myself at age 5
I’m planning on being cremated and my remains planted in a bio urn. I should like to have my last act be contributing a tree to the world. Maple if possible.
yes, although haven’t decided for sure, burial vs cremation. I definitely want a book or 2, a Pepsi and a Snickers candy bar. and I want to be comfortable in my flannel nightgown and fuzzy socks please!
No, what for? I’m planning on leaving my entire library to two of my little cousins who also love to read. That is, if I don’t have kids of my own before then. I may still split it up between all of them. ??♀️ My books will definitely be my most prized possession to share.
Yes that way I always have something to read.
Which one, if I may ask?
Hadn’t thought about that
Me either ??
I want to be cremated and my dust will help a tree to grow up. They Both die at the end.
Cremated remains actually have no nutrients ?
There’s body composting, but it’s pretty rare and you’d probably have to donate your body to a body composting facility.
That’s something then 🙂
The Bios Urn lets you become a tree.
I’m going in a bio urn! X
@Angela, wow I’ve never heard of this.
That’s an option?! Sweet.
I’d like to have my titles bronzed and immortalized, hung on the wall of my private crypt with blue stained glass windows facing east. 🙂
Nope
No just send me to science or something ??♀️
Yes and pictures of my son
Burn me. Burn me with a copy of “Calico Joe” . . . Aside from that . . . it’s like I tell this funeral company what calls me all the time . .. “I don’t plan on dying” . . .smilin’
They will be in a permanent archive. My ashes might be kept in that archive or sent into space.

I would like to be put inside a hollowed-out giant size copy of the I Ching, and cremated.
I have one special book that is going with me!
No I want my body to be burned
I’ve decided to take all my money with me. No room for books. ?
no, I am being cremated when I go and set on my bookcase
Nope, I want my books to be passed on and loved by others once I go.
I want my ashes to be put inside a book.
I really like that idea a lot.
donating my body to a university, so no
I could see that, it’s on my ID . . . take as long as they need . . .but in the end . . . I prefer a burn . .. and I’d that copy of Grishams “Calico Joe” . .. and be in the bay after. You don’t plan on the rest of your death life in the university do you? smile.
I’m looking into donating to a body composting facility, and afterwards I’d like to just be fertilizer.
Donating my body too
Oh here I go again . . . I could see that, it’s on my ID . . . take as long as they need . . .but in the end . . . I prefer a burn . .. and I’d that copy of Grishams “Calico Joe” . .. and be in the bay after. You don’t plan on the rest of your death life in the university do you? smile.
Yes
Never really thought about it. Idea i like
I want to be cremated.
Why cremated??
Why not ?
@Angela it’s just a ‘surprise’ question to her…here in India we are cremated only. And that is holy to us. That’s what our religion demands. But I asked her ‘why’ pertaining to her religious sentiments. That’s it.
No. I’d rather pass my fave book/s onto family or friends in hopes that they will enjoy it or think of me when they read it or see it on their shelves.
Considering that I read a lot of true crime, I’ll say no but wherever I go, I hope there’s a library!
Yes. I want to be buried with Gone With the Wind.
Yes!
As they took my father’s body away, I grabbed The History of Western Philosophy off the bookshelf, and placed it on his chest. ?
Probably cremation so it would be the least expensive option for my family. It would be pretty cool to be cremated with my favorite books though. To be melded with the ashes of my favorite books for all eternity…yeah that sounds pretty awesome actually ?
Actually, I wanna do the tree thing, but a nice bench with a little free library underneath would be a nice addition.
Bury me with my nook and kindle with my ear buds so I can read and listen to music
Is it only me … or has any one else not given it a thought …. but now having been asked perhaps the books I’ve not got around to reading ….
Interesting thought. “The one’s I’ve not crossed” . . . I read bits and parts, but I might have to include the bible in this one . .. never thought it before .. . now. I have. 😉
??
Oh god I hadn’t thought about what imma do with my books. I want to donate my body to the body farm and train the next round of forensic scientists through my decomposition. What will I do with the books??
pass ’em on . . . I only want one with me . . . send them to someone . . .you love . . .friend, family . . .
I guess I can make more of an effort to know my cousins’ kids and see if they read when they’re older. Only one of my close friends wants kids, maybe hers will read
Give them away.
No. I want to be a tree. People can read under me when I grow though.
Yes! I had never thought about it before…but yes I do. Gone With the Wind… my all time favorite book.
I wanna be cremated and have my ashes mixed into the ink of my published book then printed.
Nope…I want to be creamated and put in a mausoleum and I can’t stand there idea of a book being burned
Me neither….
No. I want others to enjoy them.
Just two the love dare and Jane Austen. Both are more than books to me. One was the best marriage advice I ever got after my first divorce and the second is why I read my uncle the man who raised me had me reading it by myself at age 5
This is height of leaving this world
I’m planning on being cremated and my remains planted in a bio urn. I should like to have my last act be contributing a tree to the world. Maple if possible.
My uncle was murdered a couple years back, He was buried with a bible I bought him ♡
No, I do not think a book is relevant in death.
Yes! I have a entire list! 🙂
Yessss! And Jane Eyre is one of them!
I can’t imagine I’ll care
I literally laughed out loud at your comment hahaha
yes, although haven’t decided for sure, burial vs cremation. I definitely want a book or 2, a Pepsi and a Snickers candy bar. and I want to be comfortable in my flannel nightgown and fuzzy socks please!
Nope I’d like to be cremated and put in a bio urn and be a cherry blossom tree. Though if they want to plant me by the library that’d be perfect ?
Yes
At least one please!!
Nope I’m being creamated
I would like to rest eternally in the Himalayas with my Kindle.
How will you recharge?
Oh I mean after dying
@Vijaya But still…both you and the Kindle will require recharging.
Yes my favorites
No, what for? I’m planning on leaving my entire library to two of my little cousins who also love to read. That is, if I don’t have kids of my own before then. I may still split it up between all of them. ??♀️ My books will definitely be my most prized possession to share.
Three of my children are claiming my cookbooks and one daughter-in-law is claiming my mystery books. I’m happy they want my treasures.
Do i just have to pick one for eternity? Thats gonna be hard
Yes
I want a copy of Harry Potter to be cremated with me.
It made me who I am in life and I want to be with it in death.
Maybe my poetry journals. Never thought about it.
I have told my oldest son to accidentally spill my ashes at a bookstore or the library.
I love that idea.
No. I being cremated. So I wouldn’t do that
i want to burnt
Nope. I’m not going to be able to read it, so I’d rather someone else gets the enjoy it and maybe remember me.
