For me I do it just like when in reading. Do currently reading first then finished/read when done

Same, though I do note for myself whether I read or listened, just as I note whether the book is for book club or read for review or fits in another of my bookshelves.

Are you on goodreads? Once you have added a book, you can choose from a menu whether you want to read, ate currently reading or have finished reading a book.

Me neither. I still experienced the story, the characters, and the lessons/reflections.
Theres actually an article I read I can find it but audiobooks effect the same area of the brain that reading does so audio is just the same as reading
@Alison yes. When I taught 5th grade I encouraged my students to listen to books for the fluency and expression.

Of course it’s a book. Just because you listened and didn’t read with your eyes doesn’t mean you didn’t “read” the book.

I have been wondering the same thing. I never thought I’d like audiobooks but started using them because of eye surgery and love them!
