But when you’re in a crowded place, how do you read in this case ?

0
Pamela

Idk if it’s the same for Jill, but when I’m in a crowded place, I can easily tune out the noise because it isn’t directed towards me..whereas music in your ears is directly for you

You got it right 🙂

Like Pamela said. I prefer to read in silence, but I would rather read in noise then not at all. I read in pulic all the time.

No, I find that listening to music while I read tends to distract me from the book so I prefer to do them separately.

Although it’s with words you can just enjoy the instruments and focus on the reading..
This is my way.

I can’t. I like absolute quiet to read. Maybe ambient noise like ocean sounds or thunderstorm, but nothing rhythmic and definitely no lyrics. I wish I could, it sounds so nice in theory. My concentration breaks easily. ?

I love music so much, I cant do both. Because I end up singing to the along to whatever is playing, which takes my concentration off of the book, lol. I would love to be able to do both, lol.

I really enjoy it as then in later years the songs I was listening to at the time take me back to the book I was reading it feels a bit like a soundtrack. But I do chose music to suit the genre I’m reading as well
