Both. It’s nice to be able to escape into a totally fantastical world, and it’s nice to have a new experience through a more realistic setting.

Depends on the genre. And if fantasy makes sense within it. Like I love fantasy to begin with, but I like my more realistic stories, like historical fiction or dystopia, to be more realistic in the realm of that story, if that makes sense. ☺️

From May – the end of September I read a lot of fantastic/romance. From October – the end of April I read realistic, biographies, autobiographies and other actual deep books.

Depends on what I’m reading. For example, if I an reading a mystery, I want realistic. If I am reading a fantasy, I don’t expect realistic EXCEPT where realism comes into play (sword fights, ways non-magic works, etc.)
