Indie bookstores are my favorite.

That being said, I’m trying to collect the entire Barnes and Noble leather bound collectibles collection, so I’ll buy them a little at a time.

Second hand store. I’ve loved so many books I otherwise would never have known existed, so many POV’s I’d never thought of.

I love browsing the library when I’m feeling like picking up something completely random and new off the shelf that I might not want to buy straight away, or if I need the next book in a series faster than I can purchase it.

I love the library booksale that they have each year because on the final day you can fill a box for $6 or a bag for $3. This is where I get the bulk of my books.

I love Thriftbooks for just about everything else because they’re cheap and amazing for high-quality used books.

I love libraries but unfortunately there are none here in Greece (only a few for reference use) si I tend to buy my books new which is why I don’t have a huge tbr pile! Whenever I go home to the UK I love going to charity shops and getting secondhand books.

I run a Little Free Library in my front yard. So I usually buy hardcovers from Amazon or bookstores so I can share them.

I’m using my library more often now as I try to read the unread books I own, but, for buying, I prefer bookshops, because I prefer to support them rather than online sites that sell other things, though sometimes online shops have books I can’t get easily at shops. So I do use all three 🙂

I could not possibly afford to buy all the books I read so I borrow quite a few from the library. Recently I have also been using Scribd to read some of them online but I do buy quite a few as well. I always scout the books at garage sales, thrift shops, etc.

Buy online and your bookstore closes. So does your library. Then all the people who aren’t as rich as you and can’t afford to buy books won’t be able to read. Use your library! Shop locally! 🙂

Coming from a low income household libraries were and still are extremely important to me.Tasmania has recently ditched fines for late books. A library spokesperson stated there were a lot of valid reasons for people not returning books on time, such as lack of transport and illness, and they should not be punished for it. and says access to books should never be about the ability to pay.
“One of the greatest equalisers in our community is being able to access knowledge … so having libraries really open and available is an absolute basic need for people living on the lowest of incomes.”
