I only listen to music if I have heard it a bunch of times or that doesn’t have too much stuff going on in it. Otherwise, I’ll end up paying more attention to the music than my book. The three albums I listen to are either Dirty Computer by Janelle Monae, Save Rock And Roll by Fall Out Boy, or Hot Fuss by The Killers.
Lol, funny story about Hot Fuss is that I found one of the songs from the album in a book and fell in love with it. It’s usually the album I listen to the most when reading.
Yes. I get distracted if I dont. Then if it’s a really good book I’m taken away into the book more and later when I hear the songs I’m taken away again.
I listen to really peaceful music like josh Groban or Susan Boyles. I think the style I like is called “operatic pop” classical music would be good too.
Sometimes. I definitely can listen and still read. But with 2 little boys my days are filled with enough noise lol I like my reading time to be in complete silence!

I can listen if there’s no lyrics. I read renegades to a nice song by Chris zabriskie “I am a man that will fight in your honor” went perfectly with the book. But I’ve heard people listen to minecraft music or animal crossing stuff like that.
I cant listen to music, but I do like having the TV on low in the background! The noise and lights from the TV are soothing to me haha… In most cases its my husband playing video games ??
