Do you listen to music when you read?
only classical – piano – if it has words I get distracted
But seriously- especially if I’m not really into a book it’s distracting. Having a child has helped me multitask, but reading and music are for different moods.
No way. I can’t focus on a book with sounds in the room. It’s too distracting
Nope can.cope with cartoons on in background keep kids happy or kids yapping and playing but cant do music I just start singing along
Yes, but only classical/instrumental – lyrics are distracting. But, I have misophonia (selective sound sensitivity syndrome) and often need some sort of background noise (tv, music, or white noise) if I’m in a quiet room in order to cope.
I love it! I put my Spotify playlist on and read and it’s the best.
I sing along sometimes too ?
Yup spotify on random
I prefer silence, but when I’m reading in a public place I listen to music because it’s less distracting than hearing people talk.
Yes I put on evanescence synthesis album and let it shuffle
Nope can’t do it too distracting for me
I don’t hear anything while I’m reading. I can’t hear Bug screaming my name. I can’t hear Will telling me the house is on fire. So… If there is music, I don’t hear shit.
I listen to music sometimes, but it has to be something I’ve heard a million times, or something without words. I prefer silence though, or white noise, like a fan.
Sometimes I have to because my husband is working in the same room as me, but I don’t like it. I want absolute siiiilence
Rarely. I get distracted sometimes by the lyrics and just want to sing along, which is great, but not exactly prime reading time. ?
I Listen to audiobooks while I read the book
I need absolute silence. My Mum coughs, and it’s like a pin dropping on the floor. I get distracted. Then I do other things.
Unless it’s instrumental or really quiet, no. Impossible.
I listen to intstrumental music like soft background music sometimes!
Sometimes edm and country
YEP. I love a soundtrack to my book. Earbuds in, music up, read away!
All the time!
