I feel vamps aren’t done well in YA at all. I loved the Sookie Stackhouse series but that’s not YA
Ever try vampire academy? Not much of them in book 1 but as goes on their is way more.
I am quite fond of the Vampire Academy series. If you’re on Wattpad, I Am The Only One is a four book series that is quite addicting alongside The Code of Conduct series.

@Marissa I think Frostbite was the low point of the series for me. It gets more interesting towards the end, but before that… I almost gave up on it, but I’d already bought the next book.
Yeah I bought all of them cause I have heard so many great things and I read vampire academy and was not impressed I’m hoping they get better tho cause I’m going to have to read all of them since I bought them
They get better. By book 3 gets action packed

I’ve read them twice as well! Once in 2014 and once a year ago. If you’ve liked those, you should really read Bloodlines
@Léa I also have Bloodlines I needed at the begging of the 6th book ? I can’t convince myself to read it ? the series is not boring, but also not the best…or maybe I would just miss it…the world of VA and Rose and everyone ? even thought they are hardly in this series ?

Amelia Atwater-Rhodes has some good vampire books. The only other one I’ve liked is Vampire Academy, but vamps aren’t my favorite so I tend to avoid them.

Morganville Vampires is really good. It’s about a little college town run by vampires, and the main character sort of stumbles into all of that. One thing I like about it is that once the action starts, it doesn’t really stop. Although maybe that’s not so good if you need to put the book down and do something else…

I have read it and i re-read it at least once a year. It is really good and takes a different path than most Vampire books i have read.
I started It but i couldn’t get interest in It. Did It get better?
I liked the first book, but the other two were too focused on the love story for me.

The blood of Eden series by Julie Kagawa
The Silver Kiss, by Annette Curtis Klause. It won either A Cadlecott Award or a Newberry. It is a beautiful book, and completely appropriate for kids, if that’s what you’re going for. An adult would enjoy it as well.

I have only read it the once but I would reread it if I was in a slump. Tbh vampire books aren’t really my thing. My repeats are TOG and ACOTAR

I loved the House of Night series. I thought it was a fun, fast paced book with lots of vampires and a great cast of characters. I love Zoey and her grandma as well as Zoey’s roommate( whose name is short and sweet but I can’t think of to save my life)
Her name was Stevie….I hate when I can’t think of the name. I never would have been able to sleep until I could figure it out….phew so glad it came to me LOL
