Some kind of wonderful by Giovanna Fletcher. Nice light read. I started yesterday and have just over hundred pages left. Hopefully finish before the year is out.
It’s about a modern day slave and an international art seller. How their stories intertwine, and realize just how different the world is. It’s got religion in it, Christianity, but it doesn’t try to shove it on you. As a Christian I️ love the small mentions, it’s not a huge role in the story, unless you make it to be. There’s a movie coming out soon.
Yes, Liane Moriarty’s “Truly, Madly, Guilty.” Good grief I cannot recall the last time it has taken me so long to finish a book. I have read her other stuff and flew through them but this one is just slow I guess. But I am down to about two chapters so I am going to finish it if at all possible by 2018!
One called The House of Secrets. I will have more books to read though because I’m going to buy them with 122 dollars! I don’t have much else to buy with it.
Has been a painful year.. within 2 months lost both parent’s. Got passion for reading honestly as both loved reading .prob dad more.. I found out mom passed as on way home from vacation ..i had been reading The fifth horseman by James Patterson. This is part of women’s murder club series. Hadn’t picked a book up since June couldn’t so it. Lived vicariously through this group waiting for something to click. Can’t say what it was but I’m back just finished this book and I feel the bug bit me.
I’m focusing in particular on Dragons of Autumn Twilight by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. Less 140 pages from the end, then I’ll probably work on a book about writing fight scenes that’s been going very quickly and I’m nearly done with, as well. From there we’ll see.
Ugh, left my MP3 player at work with about 15-30 minutes left of listening. I hope to stop in tonight to get it and maybe I’ll finish before midnight but more than likely it will be my first finish for 2018.
I’m reading Harry Potter, Book 1 The Sorcerer’s Stone. Just started so no chance finishing before 2018! Loved the movies just couldn’t get into the books. This time, I’m enjoying. You know how you have to be in the mood for a genre. ??
Paris by Edward Rutherfurd. Almost done. Knowing French history is helpful when reading this, although the author provides enough background so that I think most readers will understand each political situation as the story evolves. It’s an interesting array of characters and a blending of different family histories. Thus far, I recommend it. ?
I‘m just finishing up re-reading The Chimney Sweeper’s Boy by Barbara Vine (Ruth Rendell). I read it back in 1998, and have enjoyed reading the “Vine” books a second time, recently. Happy New Year!!
Either The Humans by Matt Haig or The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin. I have an advanced reader copy of the latter, and it’s about to come out in hardback!! I am too slow!
@Jamie– I didn’t actually finish it yet. So far i like it. I feel that there needs to be an accompanying pull out off all the music listed together in the book. It would be fun to create a play list during each chapter like the mention. I’ve hit the last two chapters and I am not thrilled. It was going so well, now it feels as if she is tying up loose ends. I do love what has come before though, so I think it’s worth reading. 🙂
I just finished. She redeemed herself and it ended good. at the end of the book there is a link to a Spotify playlist for all the music. I really like that. I would recommend reading it after all your others. I give it 4 stars. 🙂
I finally got to read Saint Odd. As the final book in the Koontz Odd Thomas series, I found it lacking. Nothing like unresolved plot lines to ruin a book (or a series) for you.
Pachinko
I just started Into the Water by Paula Hawkins last night and hopefully I’ll finish before the year is over!
is it any good??
I’ll have to let you know. I only read a few chapters before bed last night. So far I’m a little confused to be honest lol ?
I just finished it and it was pretty good! The very, very beginning was confusing but after that it was great!
I’m reading Age of the Ashers (The Petros Chronicles Book 1). 3% left to go. I’ll be writing my review today.
Ten Days in a Madhouse
Who’s the author x

Silence Fallen by Patricia Briggs
The Mote in God’s Eye
Some kind of wonderful by Giovanna Fletcher. Nice light read. I started yesterday and have just over hundred pages left. Hopefully finish before the year is out.

Is it long? I have one I wont finish before the new year either. The one I’m wanting to finish is Crazy Ladies lol
@Nay, it felt like it took forever to read.
@Nay, it’s 438 pages, so not super long. It’s pretty good, but I adore books written around the timeline of WW2. Adore them.
The very last 80 pages of Do They Hear you When you cry. And Zlatas Diary.
I’m trying to finish the Giver quartet, I’m on my last book but I’ve got my grandbaby who’s on the move constantly so I don’t think it’ll happen
A series of Unfortunate Events, I’m on the last book but my uni has started back.?
The Wife Between Us
Just finished this one recently. Are you enjoying it?
I want to read that one soo bad!
@Myndi yes! I’ve only got 100 pages left it’s a page turner.
These three. Doubt I will make it though, even tho the middle one is a manga. It’s really thick, and I’m only halfway through. :p
Yeah, it’s really good so far!
Lisa Jackson’s Final Scream. I just started it last night. Barely on chapter 5. It was super slow going for a while.
Peace Like A River!
City of bones! I’m so close to the end so I’m hoping I’ll be able to finish it tonight!
1/2 through The Judas Strain.
Darker
Same Kind of Different as Me. It’s a true story, and it’s absolutely amazing.
What’s it about? I love true stories.
I’m sorry it’s sideways.
The movie has been out and gone already.
Thanks for sharing!

Yeah I’m on page 440 of a book I’m writing
I’m focusing in particular on Dragons of Autumn Twilight by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. Less 140 pages from the end, then I’ll probably work on a book about writing fight scenes that’s been going very quickly and I’m nearly done with, as well. From there we’ll see.
Yes! Songs of Willow Frost. It has taken me 6 weeks to read this book. 🙁 I will be so glad when I’m finished. I’m down to the final track (audio).
Ugh, left my MP3 player at work with about 15-30 minutes left of listening. I hope to stop in tonight to get it and maybe I’ll finish before midnight but more than likely it will be my first finish for 2018.

Yes, The Music Shop by Rachel Joyce. It is so good.
Did you like this book?
@Jamie– I didn’t actually finish it yet. So far i like it. I feel that there needs to be an accompanying pull out off all the music listed together in the book. It would be fun to create a play list during each chapter like the mention. I’ve hit the last two chapters and I am not thrilled. It was going so well, now it feels as if she is tying up loose ends. I do love what has come before though, so I think it’s worth reading. 🙂
Ok thank you very much I have so many books I’m interested in starting!

Ah! I hope I Love Night Circus! I hear nothing but amazing things. And yes!! ADSOM was amazing! I’m so
mad I waited so long to read it.
@Heather, at least that trilogy is complete, so there is more to look forward to. Have you read Nevernight by Jay Kristoff?
True! And no I haven’t! I hear great things but I haven’t read it yet.
@Heather, if you liked ADSOM, I highly recommend Nevernight. The final book in the trilogy should be out at the end of 2018.
Oh! I’ll add it to my list! I’m hoping to read more fantasy this year. I didn’t read too much in 2017.
I finally got to read Saint Odd. As the final book in the Koontz Odd Thomas series, I found it lacking. Nothing like unresolved plot lines to ruin a book (or a series) for you.

@Nay, me, either!
Too late. . . .
