The goal I set for myself thus year was 20, because I had just started reading again, I have a young child who leaves me almost no time for myself, & at the time I didn’t have any way to get new books. Since I set that goal for myself I have been reading book after book & I’ve already almost completed my goal
My goal is to read 70 books, I finished book #40 tonight. No biggy if I don’t get to my goal but it’s fun for me.
50..but something tells me I’m gonna fall short of that target this year. I read differently these days taking my time to pause and make notes and think about what the author is saying. I used to just read non stop and finish one book after another in the past. So…I guess even if I don’t reach the target, I’m fine with that. Quite happy with my books this year.

How should I count if I read one book several times?

I set my goal at 30 and to date have read 31. I’m guessing now I’ll read about 50 by years end.

I set it at 70 and just read number 37. Not fussed if I don’t get to my goal but enjoy keeping track

For me it’s about enjoying each book, don’t really care how many.
Last year I succeeded in reaching my goal of at least one book per week (I ended up at 53 books). This year I hope to match or exceed that. I’m on #27 now!

I’m hoping I read less than ever!
I usually go well over 52 books a year. My Husband just retired and I’m hoping I am too busy having fun to need to escape into a book

I like the simple Goodreads reading challenge. My goal is 40, but I read 55 last year. So far I’ve finished 31, so I’m well on my way!
I do Goodreads. I’m at 61/80 (although some of those are DNF) I have gotten to about 100 in the past

Yes and while I havent kept up with it I forget to mark them on goodreads. So,I have read more than it shows. Which is 24 I think. But I am sure I have read double that this year. I think I have read almost 60 books this year so far

18 out of 30. Moving slowly though…
I am at 45/50. Guess I should have made a higher goal.
I just completed mine (40 books), but this also includes audiobooks listened to on my long commute. I use goodreads to track. I also do the popsugar reading challenge, which will end up being a total of 50 books, I think. So I guess I still have ten to go for that.
I made my goal 100, I was doing good until about 1 month ago, then it has taken me 3 weeks to read 1 book. Not good for the average!

I use my reading challenge as a personal reminder that it’s ok to do something for myself when work gets stressful. I’m at 18/30.
If it is a book that catches my attention, interest, and draws me in–I read it. If is a book that while reading I am reminded I have chores to do and I might as well get started–I don’t continue with it.
