No 🙂 I either enjoy it or bored of it, close it and never coming back. My life is too busy to push through boring books and wait for something to happen. Couldn’t finish Gone girl for example, so it’s in charity shop now.
I read for pleasure. I have boring papers to read at work 🙂
I liked Poison Princess and read Heavenward not so long ago and that was easy read, done in two days flat.

I think there comes a time – usually it’s the middle of a book – where you do have to power through, especially if you have been reading a book for a while.

It’s not that I didn’t like it so much as I got another book on the brain and was ready to be done with the one I was on

EXACTLY – I was trying to figure out why I like reading once I start, but I don’t always want to! You nailed it. Thanks

I listened to the books so it didn’t seem to get boring. I’ve been planning on relistening to it when I get around to the new one.

I think I get distracted by life more than I get bored…sometimes finding time to read to pick a book back up, even the best book is difficult.

That is why I have Audible. I love books so much but would never have a chance to read them if it weren’t for Audible. I get stuff done while I listen.

Even if I’m enjoying a book I’ll constantly look to see how is left. And I get VERY excited when a series wraps up even if it’s one of my faves.

Yup. When the series goes on and on. I can handle 3-4 books but more than that is too much

I agree. A duology or trilogy is perfect.

Ehh it depends on how into it I am

Yes I almost always hit a bit of a slump even in books I am loving especially when they are over about 400 pages. I’m not sure why doesn’t matter how into it I am !

Happening to me right now with the third Game of Thrones book. I love it but it is so dense and huge!

When you are close to the end and really want to finish the book but it seems like it’s taking forever and you can’t sleep because you need to finish the book! Lol

I’m somewhat experiencing this with the final Red Queen novel War Storm. I just can’t get into it, but I really liked the first three!
