No. Lol. I keep adding to it. Lol. I’m currently at 1,912 and reading 3 of those.

Yes. I take them down charity. Usually once I get to the point of there is no room or I’m moving house.

Just done a huge cleanup. I went from 500-600 tbr on my Goodreads shelf to just 163. A majority of those books were YA as I just don’t read those types of books anymore and have switched to more adult novels.

Edit: In terms of physical books, I’ve donated over half of my bookshelf to charity because they’re books I know I’ll never read/re-read. I basically only buy ebooks and audiobooks now.

I occasionally go through my tbr and read book descriptions again. If it no longer sounds interesting, I’ll remove the book from the list. If it’s still interesting, I’ll keep it on the list and try to find a copy to read soon.

How funny I’ve just done this today. I pulled out the books that have been sat there for some time and figured I’d just not get round to reading them any time soon.

As I went through my books, recently, I realized a sad truth. The book I wanted to read two or three years ago isn’t of interest to me now.

Continuing from my previous comment (a dog nose pressed the post button), I will probably read them eventually. But still felt amazed at how I had changed.

I don’t remove actual books from my shelves often unless I’ve at least tried to read it and wasn’t into it. But my wishlist I frequently go through and will reread the synopsis of books whose titles don’t sound familiar. If they don’t spark something, I remove them. Sometimes they make their way back because they become interesting to me again, more often they do not. I actually find it relieving to remove the books that don’t interest me anymore. It makes it seem more likely that I’ll actually read them then all before I die ??

I have a few TBR lists on Goodreads set up like WANT TO READ, TBR ASAP, TBR SOMEDAY, etc. I may never get to some of my TBR books in my lifetime but I try to categorize as much as I can to make sure I definitely read the ones I most want to read (like fav authors, etc) and then I can pick from other lists depending upon what I feel like reading at the moment.

No. I stow them away. I will eventually get to them. I also save them as a reminder so I can get it on audiobooks. Once I have listened “read” it, I can donate the book.

What I didn’t enjoy. What I thought was ok but not a have to save book. This goes for
Books I’ve read or couldn’t
Get
Into. I’ve still got a lot in my TBR pile and it keeps growing…. if I think about a book it seems like it’s there on my shelf lol.

I choose what’s been on my shelf the longest. If I haven’t read it after a couple years, I probably never will. The used books are always the first to go.

I did just recently and I went very pragmatic. All those books I couldn’t get from the library I deleted from my tbr list – but saved them on an amazon wishing list in stead ?

I have done that recently. My TBR are real books? My wishlist is a virtual one. I cleaned my bookcases and while putting the books back on the shelves, I read the blurps. If I wasn’t interested anymore, I put it aside and gave the book away.
All books that are left now I want to read or want to keep (at this point in time).
I read the books I was given by others oldest – first. For my own books I don’t have a particular order, just read what fancies me.
