Yes because you can better understand the world and context of story while SOC happened after whole SAB series

I’d recommend it so you understand Nina, plus you need to read both to read King of Scars

@Hayleigh sure! I read SoC first & was confused & I’d totally redo that! I would do KoS directly after both though because it leaves off from the end of both series
I read KoS a year or 2 after the others & had to remember everything that happened

I read the shadow and bone series first. Then a while later I read king of scars and now I’m about to read six of crows. You don’t need to do it in any order though
I didn’t, even though it mentions it in Six Of Crows, I was able to follow it with no problem.
I quit book 2 of the trilogy. I was bored. Moved on to Six of crows & really enjoyed the duology..

You technically don’t have to. I read six of crows and crooked kingdom without reading the grisha trilogy and I loved them! But when I read the grisha trilogy for the first time and then reread the SoC duology, I loved it so much more (and the duology was a five star read the first time!)
I didn’t and it was still easy to understand since it’s it’s own story.
No you don’t,I only read SoC . and I understood everything just fine1
You really do not need to six of crows is a better series anyways
