I don’t think every author does, I think it depends on the success of the book?

I think mostly they’re hoping they get published and then read. Anything on top of that is a bonus.

A lot of mystery/crime writters do. But some authors do in every genre.

Not often but it does happen. I reckon you can tell those that do.

I personally see mine while I’m writing as a movie. So I’m sure when they picture it in their head they picture everything moving along as a movie

I hope not. I hope authors write books because they have stories to tell. That should be the most important

Lani Salem is an ‘author’ that comes to mind. She bought her books in bulk because she thought that buying them in bulk would have gotten her enough attention for her book to become a movie. So many of my favourite booktubers spoke about this issue.

Do you mean, when you’re reading it, it feels like it’s a movie unfolding before your eyes, but that the book would need to succeed to be made into a movie?

They don’t need to bother. The movie directors will change everything anyway! ?
