Addicted to audio books as I can listen while doing other things like driving or housework. Download free from the public library. Love that they are often done in the dialect of the people in the book.
I love both printed and eBooks, as it’s not the same type of reading. In public transport, I use the Kindle as it’s very practical and stores a huge amount of titles. In addition, old books are either free (e.g. from the Project Gutenberg website) or very cheap on Amazon. As an example, I’ve finished Chateaubriand’s Mémoires d’Outre Tombe and am currently reading Duke of Saint Simon’s Mémoires, for free. I could get all of Poe for free as well.
I prefer print for graphic novel, or beautiful books (on arts, typically, or history), that you can enjoy touching but also displaying as the cover is usually extremely nice as well.
Kindle fire here. Unfortunately when I moved I had to get rid of my library and simply have no room for books here. Tragic, I know, So I’m relegated to an e-reader.
I use a Kindle. I resisted for a long time, but a friend talked me into it. I’m 72 and I’ve come to appreciate that I can enlarge the font size and the brightness to read. I also belong to Amazon who promotes Kindle so I can buy or borrow books at any time. Not that I’ve quit buying my hardbacks either, you can never have too many books, no matter in what form.
Yes! I use a Kobo and I love it. I can carry over 100 books in my purse or jacket pocket. It’s backlit and water proof so I can read anywhere. No more heavy backpacks or purses. I love it!
I have an ebook reader but it is on my phone. I use Google Play Books because unfortunately, that is the only service that is available in the Philippines (I think) and it is so convenient. I am able to read classics (war and peace, ulysses etc.) because it is hard to get them in physical copies from where I am from
I love my Kindle ❤ I didn’t have any space left for books and it’s also easier to carry around when traveling. Also, I can read at night without bothering my boyfriend. xD
