I do. I have Audible from Amazon. I download the book from the cloud, listen to it, and, then, remove it from the phone back to the cloud. No data used!

I’m really wanting to use Audible while in my sewing room. I’ve only had my Iphone a short time and not sure if I can accomplish the download process. Not real sharp on all of these modern “things” LOL

Is Overdrive another iPhone app?

1
Lillian

@Myra It is an app that accesses your public library. So free audio and books!

2
Pam

That’s exactly what I do. I also listen to them on my car speakers from my phone.

Lillian

I listen on my iPhone with wireless ear buds. So good for biking (on trail) and walking. Overdrive is my friend.

If you have Kindle and Audible, often if you buy the Kindle book first you can purchase the Audible version at a significant discount. Then with WhisperSync, the books will keep up with each other. So if you listen while working during the day but want to read the same book on Kindle at night, when you open your Kindle it will jump to the spot you left off listening to. Really handy!

I just started and downloaded the books from my library through Overdrive. I “read” while I sewed, washed dishes, walked, and drove my car.

Exactly what I’ve been doing.

Overdrive is a library service many of youhave access to. The libraries order the latest and greatest available. No need to buy. If your library does t have a title you want, just out in a purchase request and if it’s available, they will purchase.

Yes, I requested this month’s book club book, and they bought it and now I’m listening to it on my phone. Perfection!

Yep! At work we’re allowed to have earbuds in so that’s how I get most of my reading done 🙂

Yes. That’s the only way I listen. My iPhone is always with me, so if there’s a spare 10 minutes folding laundry, chopping carrots, deadheading blooms, I’m listening!

I use mine daily to listen while I sew. Sometimes 5 hours at a stretch. I also listen in the car while driving. I’m addicted to audiobooks!

I listen to Worthy last night as I was trying to decide on how to lay out my next quilt. Found my self wondering in the snow. 🙂

Yes. Mostly via the Overdrive app for library checkouts. It’s great because it links up with the bluetooth in my car, and listening to the books while I’m on the road is my primary reason for checking them out.

I have a ZTE ZMAX. Right now I have seven audio books and about forty ebooks. This is a great readers phone.
