That’s exactly what happened to me. I love it because it’s introduced me to so many great books I might not have otherwise gravitated to. I’ll admit though, my TBR quadrupled since I started watching so I’ve had to quit for a while. When I get through some more of my pile I might start watching again.
I had just found A Clockwork Reader when I decided I really needed to take a break from Book Tube. My TBR is well over 300 books and Book Tube was the partly to blame! That being said, I love how zen she is (I forget her name). She has such a calm, but articulate way of delivering her reviews
My top picks are chapterstackss, climbthestacks, squibbles reads, the Poptimist, rincey reads, bookriot, peruse project, Jen Campbell, what kamil reads, the book castle, and brown girl reading.
I follow quite a few, although some of my favorites no longer make videos unfortunately. I love Jen Campbell, Rachel from the channel Kalanadi, chbosky, Bookish Thoughts (Jean), Garden Scriptorium, Sam’s Nonsense, Books and Things, and The Fancy Hat Lady Reads.
I’m addicted! SavidgeReads, Laurenandthebooks, ink and paper blog, Wilde reads, Kendra Winchester, Eric Karl Anderson, Jen Campbell, peruse project, insert literary pun here, rincey reads, and more!
Chapterstackss and climb the stacks. Climb the stacks focuses mainly on the classics. She’s very insightful. I love her channel. Book Riot also has a channel with a ton of reviews.
I didn’t know this was a thing! I am intrigued
You must check it out on YouTube. Just be warned it is a rabbit hole you may never get out of.
Little Book Owl and Peruse Project
And Rincey Reads
The Poptimist is one of my favorites.
I like him too 🙂
I’ve never heard of such a thing! Google here I come
@Ryan. You Tube 😉
I follow quite a few but love discovering new ones.
I’ve never heard of booktubers either! Now I’m off to find some!
John Green is also a book tuber, though I haven’t really followed him much… but for those of you who are fans, you might find him appealing
His brother has lots of videos on YouTube
Yes, I follow him regularly.
I didn’t know this was a thing either. I have the feeling if I look into this my already quite long TBR list is going to grow even more!

@Michelle really enjoying both!
@Kimberly thanks for the recs! Chapterstacks even has an episode that talks about finding booktubers for adult books. Very helpful!
@Leslie yes. I love her channel. I don’t read a lot of YA so finding her was a bonus.
A friend recently shared that she is listening to Chronicles of Narnina.
Not going there! Too much already.
Life Between Words
There is such a thing??
Tashapolis and polandbananabooks
I’m lost, new termanology
lmgtfy… https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BookTube
Oh great! Something new for me to obsess about. 😉 Will have to investigate.
Reagan Perusse, Sanne from booksandquills, and JessetheReader are my go-tos.
Fyi in case you are unfamiliar–booktubers overwhelmingly read YA. It’s not always the case, but booktubers who never talk about YA are hard to find.
Yes, polandbananabooks per my 12-year-old great-niece ?.
This may be a stupid question, but what’s a booktuber? ?
People who do book reviews and created book related videos on YouTube.
