If I’m buying online usually http://thriftbooks.com/ In person I make special trips to Half Price Books or a local bookstore…ocassionally I go to the library book sale.
Also they have this thing called scratch and dent how the claim they aren’t excellent condition but every time i got a scratch and dent book i had no idea why I️t was deemed this as they call were fine and cheaper then regular books i get all my real books here when i don’t kindle i just got 5 last week and barely paid $20 for all
I use Thriftbooks. I have ordered around 75 books from Thriftbooks. I always click the like new option through to ensure I get a quality book. (when I first started using Thriftbooks, I didn’t pay attention and ended up with a couple of hardback books without the dust jacket)
It’ll let you know when the dust jacket is missing but I’ve gotten “acceptable” books and they were in like new condition. I’ve never had an issue with thrift books.
