@Patricia I read them in publication order when they were first released. Having done that, I had less sympathy for the Ya-Ya Sisterhood than others did.
I’ve read Little Altars Everywhere, will look for the Ya-Yasin Bloom. Listened to the audio of Ya-Ya Sisterhood after reading the book and enjoyed that too.
I have 7 Friends from college (we graduated in the late 70s) who call ourselves the Ya Yas. We’ve been through a LOT together and cherish the times we are all able to get together. Inspired by the book!
I liked the book…the movie not so much.
Try audio too…..
@Patricia no thank you.
I loved the book!
I read “Little Altars Everywhere” first. Totally different experience from reading in the other order.
I’m sure that is true; may re-read them in your order.

Loved the book and the movie. I’ve read the book twice!

I agree that Little Altars Everywhere is the better of the 2, but these are my favorite books! I will read them over and over.

Someone was saying that they loved Fanny Flagg books. Has anyone read her new one? The Whole Town’s Talking. Would love to see feedback on it!

Very easy reading and entertaining!
I liked it, and enjoyed listening to it on audible. It wasn’t my favorite by her, but sweet and worth the hours of my time.
