I was disappointed in it. It took me too long to read because I just couldn’t care about the main characters. Also felt like I was being preached at about racism the entire book. And the ending was just too ridiculous to believe. First Jodi Picoult book that I didn’t care for.

I loved it! It forced me to examine my conscience about my feelings toward people who are different from me – I truly felt changed after reading this book.

Very good book. I thought the ending was the only possible one given the issues addressed in the story.

Yes I’m currently half way through reading this book! I like it, tho I’m not finding it an easy-peasy read at all! More than worth a try- as are all Jodi Picoult’s books. Please enjoy!!

I liked it, the premise was very interesting but the ending was a bit too coincidental for me, all tied up with a bow. I detested some of the characters so much but tried to keep an open mind about them as I read the book. The issue at hand really ignited my thoughts and feelings and I had hoped to discuss it with my book club but was unable to meet them. Would love to hear some thoughts from other readers.

It is, in my opinion, her best, and I’ve read almost all of them. The early part of it, in particular, is really tough, may be hard to get through. No spoilers, but if you can get through it, I think you will find it rewarding.
