The audiobook was fun, with the guest appearances. But the book was all fluff and little substance.

Yes! I agree. I wish I had only done the audiobook and I am glad I did as it replaced my dislike of having read the book.

I wanted to but didn’t enjoy the audio book. Seemed like she was just on the bandwagon of writing a book like everyone else she worked with. But I didn’t enjoy her life story. I didn’t find it entertaining. I was disappointed.

I like her, but the book felt forced and boring in many places. When she thought she’d lost 50 pages of work, you totally believe her degree of not feeling she could go on and rewrite that because throughout the book you feel she’s often pushing herself to do an unpleasant task. That doesn’t mean there aren’t interesting stories here and there.
