I’ve read a couple, but the one I read first still sticks in my mind. “The Winner”. I guess it was wishful thinking on my part that I might be so lucky. It was a very exciting read and led me to read others written by him.

Wish You Well and A Painted House are very good, however not lawyer books, just good novels. A Time to Kill is my favourite one of those.

Kristin

@Kathleen A Time to Kill is John Grisham’s first novel (still excellent, though!)

0
Janie

Painted House is Grisham also.

1
Barbara

Glad I am not the only one who gets those two authors’ books mixed up! Throw in a little Scott Turow and I am really a confused mess!

2
Barbara

@Kristin my favorite Grisham book!

0

My favorite Grisham book was The Firm. Couldn’t put it down. The movie was actually pretty good, but enjoyed the book much more.

Alan Gratz came to my middle school years ago. I had no clue who he was. He did a presentation on two books at a time and asked the kids to choose the path. The kids picked Prisoner B-3087. Needless to say I went to my Country Bookstore after school and got a copy. Maybe see what he presents and decide from there…just a thought.

Ami

What!?! How did you get him! I love hearing him speak! He’s funny!!

0
CorinQuestion author

I didn’t. He’s friends with someone on our PTA and he’s speaking at night for part of our Read-A-Thon fundraiser. I know……INCREDIBLE! And Alan Gratz is coming to RR the same week, but the parent-teen book club filled up in a day? I’ll have to be very nice to Rachel next Sunday?

I really love Baldacci’s work. I am really a murder mystery fanatic reader. My goal for 2019 is to read something other than mystery at least every 10th book! My son has turned me onto Anthony Trollop, so I will try to continue with him.
