I love my kindle, the LED screen of a tablet bothers my eyes and gives me a headache. I’ve had multiple versions of the kindle and currently use a paperwhite, I highly recommend it!

I love my kindle because it’s easy to read outside l, much easier than the glare on the tablet or phone. Plus it made my luggage lighter for vacations. 🙂

I tried on an iPad but the screen gave me headaches. My kindle has never done that (apart from eye strain for reading for way to long lol) Kindle battery life is usually pretty good as well compared to tablets.

I love my Kindle. I have the Paperwhite and it’s great! Holds lots of books and I can use it at night and outside in the sun and there’s not weird glare or anything.

I have the Paperwhite and I love it. I used a tablet for a while but not only did it bother my eyes but the weight and bright light became an issue. The Paperwhite is so lightweight and the light doesn’t bother my husband at night at all. I have the ad enabled version and I actually like it because it is like it’s giving me reading suggestions!

I use an iPad with PocketBook App, free on Google play, no popup Ads, easy to change screen brightness, can change to night mode, read all file formats ….

I don’t usually like Apple products (I’m a Samsung phone girl for life!) but I am a firm believer that they make the best tablets on the planet. I’ve had 4 and loved each one more. Worth the money, IMHO.

Kindle paperwhite is the best (It’s also on sale on amazon right now). It’s easier on the eyes in my opinion. My tablet is for all my tablet things, like apps and such but I have a case that’s on my kindle that’s like a hardcover book so it still has the feel of reading a book except I can highlight my favorite quotes. It also has goodreads integrated into it, which I like because I can keep track of everything I read.

Me too, however I’m going to be travelling later in the year (backpacking) and won’t be able to carry books around

Yeah. Kindle is a better way to catch up with what you are reading while relaxing. You know. Just earphones and tablet and you are on the go. LOL! You can close your eyes and leave it all to kindle. ??

I have a kindle tablet and now the kindle Paperwhite which is much easier to read (no glare like tablets). I also have the Kindle app on my phone and do a lot of reading when I have a free minute. Very convenient.

I say I love my kindle but really I love the kindle app on my phone. There’s really something great about being able to binge read a series without having to wait for the book to come in or go to the store or library.

I have Kindle and tablet, Kindle books are very cheap normally 99 P, the light can be altered to read at night and for 45£ why not. You can put Google play on it.

I have 3 of them! The original keyboard Kindle, the Paperwhite and now a Kindle Fire tablet. I love them all and use them each and every one of them depending on where I am. In bed at night I am more prone to use the Paperwhite and if I am in the living room or elsewhere, I tend to use the other two. The Kindle Fire is good if you like to read magazines because of the colour.

I love my kindle fire but I also have a tablet. My tablet is from Sprint so I pay for a phone line on it. I love both but if I could only have one, it would be the tablet because I use it in the card to look up things, GPS, etc.

I would say it depends if backlighting hurts your eyes after awhile. It does for me so the kindle works great!

I prefer my Kindle Paperwhite as it is really easy on the eyes and light enough to carry in my handbag.

Kindle. Bcz the glare of the tablet tires out the eyes. Kindle does not and it’s much easier to read in the sun on a Kindle. You would not see your own reflection in it.
And if you already have a phone/tablet you can install the Kindle app in it and also on your laptop. Then you are free to download the same book on all your devices and read whatever is convenient at a given time.
Oh and, Kindle lasts longer on a single charge.

I bought a kindle some years ago. Not a fan, unless they make a much better and easier to use reader. I lost power a couple of times and was faced with getting the books all over again. Just give my a book to hold and treasure in my hands.

Can you not change the font size… Both my old one and my current paperwhite have had font size options from small to very large…

I can download Kindle books on the ipad. However, I still prefer ‘real’ books ?

I would say not to get a kindle. From my experience they do not have the best batteries and I’ve grown to love the iPad much more than I like my kindle. But Samsung tablets are very good and they have google play which has an amazing selection of books.

I love real books but space is at a premium so I have been buying books for my tablet through Kobo. Haven’t had any real problems with it. When I travel, I appreciate the tablet.

I’m very fond of my Kindle Paperwhite, as I tend to buy books from amazon anyways. But I still prefer the paper books, they feel more “mine” – as I can hold them in my hands. However I really like the fact that I have loads of books, without worrying about all the space.

The most stressing fact with a Kindle is that my TBR-pile is unseen, so it gets out of control quicker than anything 😀

I love my kindle wouldn’t change it for anything but it really depends what you want to use it for. If you want a basic ereader then kindle or something similar (kobo?) if you want to have apps and games as well as an ereader then go for a tablet

Kindle is good because as long as the battery ischarged you can read it anywhere. You don’t need wifi access. Lots of free sights for kindle as well

Love love love my e reader!!! E readers are a lot lighter then books and you can store 100’s if not thousands of books in them….which makes it a lot easier to lug a bunch of books around at once…you can never just have one book in your purse or bag ? The only problem I have with them I miss the smell and feel of a real book.

Mine is relatively new; it’s my second Kindle. The Kindle fire, which is a tablet, is terrible for reading. The other iterations are much better. I don’t even like reading on the kindle app on my phone.
