Clearly we all love reading, but at some point we usually make time for other things. What other things do you do/like to do?

Candy Crush takes up a lot of my time as well as binge TV watching. I DVR everything I want to watch and then catch up after I’ve put my kids to bed. I love taking pictures, but since the digital age haven’t gotten a great camera to continue that passion. I have 3 kids under 10 so they take up the majority of my time, one with special needs.

Oh yeah, Netflix.. what I do while I crochet! I used to be able to read while watching tv.. can’t do that anymore, and I hate to sit there and do nothing.

I highly recommend The Crochet Crowd channel on YouTube. Michael is a wonderful teacher, and he has videos for rank beginners..he also has videos specifically for left handed folks, if you need that. I am a self-taught lefty, who crochets right-handed..just holding the hook like a knife rather than a pencil. The videos are the next best thing to having a live teacher by your side..better, in some ways, as you can pause and back up with a video..

Just kidding ? I’m a mum of 4 beautiful children ages 13, 8, 6 and 4, so playing, cooking, baking, getting outside! Anything that tears them away from a TV screen and gets us making memories! Although our favourite thing to do together is cuddle up under a blanket and read ?

Some people have more luck with knitting than crochet.. and vice versa. I’ve seen so many knitters say they can’t figure out crochet, while crocheters say that about knitting. You Tube is a godsend.

I like to watch my adult kids at whatever they love doing. My son plays baseball and my daughter plays softball and is also in a concert band where she plays flute. I cook low sodium meals because my son had a heart transplant one year ago and I want his gift to last a long time. If you’re not an organ donor, please consider it. A donor saved my son’s life
