If you like sci-fi, the MadAdam trilogy is great. If not, I recommend Alias Grace. Handmaid’s Tale is great.

My fav may be Blind Assassin, but it’s a bit more complicated a read.

The Handmaid’s Tale first and foremost, but also check out Hag-Seed, which is a clever reworking of The Tempest: https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/239449/hag-seed-by-margaret-atwood/9780804141314/

The Robber Bride! That one or Cat’s Eye are a bit easier to get into, since they are set in the “real world” instead of dystopian future.
