If you’ve never read Jeremy before… be prepared to have your mind blown. I consider him a friend, and he is among the best authors I have ever read. This book connects into his PROJECT series, where he eventually does something I’ve never seen any other author do.

Angel

yes it’s my first book by him Jeff. I really only got about 10 pages in but I’m hooked! I heard this story was loosely based on a true story so it intrigued me!

1
Jeff

Very loosely based on Unit 731, a real life Japanese unit during WWII that was responsible for some pretty heinous human testing.

1
Angel

yes that’s what I heard!

Jeff

PULSE, another of his books, is loosely based on (and plays with) the Hercules myth. DIDYMUS CONTINGENCY plays around with the Gospels and time travel. Several of his books over the years put spins on various Bible stories, though sometimes you have to *really* know your Bible to make the connections.

A fun thing I inadvertantly did last year was to read his FORBIDDEN ISLAND and Rick Chesler’s UNCONTACTED nearly (or maybe exactly?) back to back. They deal with the same place/ people – North Sentinel Island – but spin VERY different tales involving them.

Angel

I’ve seen PULSE, came close to getting that one! Same with Forbidden Island. I love these kinds of stories!

and my tbr list gets longer and longer…:D

If you read Jeremy’s books and like them, contact me. I know things 😀

1
Angel

sure! I’ll hit you up for a FR if you don’t mind!

Not at all. Though you may want to go through @Jeff instead. Same guy, but that one is less controversial. He sticks to books and sports and such. I talk books and sports and such, but also a lot of politics and religion, and my opinions aren’t always popular. 😀

1
Angel

lol no problem I’m pretty down to earth and I’m not overly sensitive about things 😀

This is not the genre that you mentioned, but A CERTAIN AGE by Beatriz Williams is very good. I won it from Goodreads and was hooked. I want to read more of her books. BTW, I read many genres and I think that really broadens your mind. Also it keeps you from getting in a rut.
