I read both and enjoy both. Real books are better in the bath and kindle fits into my handbag better. I seem to read more when on kindle as I have a case to prop it up whilst drying my hair, eating brekkie.
I read both and, like Susan, I have found books on Kindle that I wouldn’t have noticed in bookshops or the library. Kindle is great for holiday reading as well. I tend to buy very few ‘real’ books now but I still use my local library regularly.
I like both but recently started reading more “real” books. With all the computer and cell phone use, I felt a needed an escape and real books offer that!
I am definitely a kindle convert, it’s only a basic one but I would replace with the same. I have read so many new authors than I would have done when I bought paperbacks.
As a reader I haven’t bought a paperback for five years. I can read my kindle anywhere (including in the dark) and it’s much easier than carrying a pile of books around. As an author for every 100 kindle books I sell, I get one paperback sale.
Personally I can read a lot better now on my kindle. Also, I have discovered some fab authors since having one. It’s so much more convenient to carry around.
I love my kindle – it’s so versatile and takes up less room meaning I can carry more books. However – I prefer the feel of real books and find I speed read on the kindle but take much more time over reading when it’s a real book. I love my local library too and can spend hours in there. It’s personal choice though. as long as people are reading then it doesn’t bother me which method they use. X
I think they have to order it in to stock it – they can do that by contacting publisher or can order on demand – I’ll see if I can do a signing there at some point though ?
Ahh ok. they can definitely order if asked but think they only stock if I’m signing there with it being from small publisher. I’ll look forward to meeting you on Saturday! X
I have read books on kindle that I would not have discovered in paperback or hardback. So for me it is a plus!
My sentiments too
I always said I’d never have a kindle but since I bought one I couldn’t do without it. It goes everywhere with me. It’s the best thing I ever bought.
I felt the same too and said I would never buy one. I now think there is room dor both in my life for different reasons

Love both. I have a tablet with the kindle app so not quite the same but still v happy. Will purchase a kindle at some point.

Last year on a 2 week holiday my daughter read 14 books on kindle and I read 11. I think we would have had to leave clothes at home ! Lol
The kindle opened a world of new authors for me, the self published and Indies, without it I would be unable to read their work.
That is very true for me also, David.

I tend to read paper books but don’t care what method other readers use, just so long as they are reading.
Exactly!
I am definitely a kindle convert, it’s only a basic one but I would replace with the same. I have read so many new authors than I would have done when I bought paperbacks.
Still love real books but Kindle is wonderful!
I still love paperbacks and have only ever read one e-book. That said my sales are about 70/30 in favour of Kindle sales, so for this I am thankful!
I would never have read you book without kindle.
Exactly. I have downloaded over a dozen books to my e-reader and will read them but I am a sucker for nostalgia…and papercuts…
I go for whatever is cheapest for me as I have a very limited income at present. x
Aren’t there lots of good Kindle books at 99p at the moment
Also many Free, plenty of review copies about too.
Kindle on the move, paperbacks in the armchair.

I went to buy your book in Waterstones in Middlesbrough Kerry. They didn’t have it! So a lot of people are missing out!

@KA I hope to see you on Saturday in Sunderland! I just thought the local book shops would have a local book in stock!
Ahh ok. they can definitely order if asked but think they only stock if I’m signing there with it being from small publisher. I’ll look forward to meeting you on Saturday! X
@KA Ah I understand now! Well I recommended it to the staff anyway. Lol
Fab thank you! ☺️ x
