the Silo trilogy by Hugh Howey- Wool, Shift, and Dust, Feed by M.T. Anderson, Scythe and Thunderhead by Neal Shusterman, The Gate to Women’s Country by Sheri S. Tepper
Utopia means like an oasis/heaven type place where everything is good/perfect, dystopia is the opposite so an end of the world type scenario where everything is bad/dangerous/dark- ie. zombie apocalypse
The books were amazing honestly, I them in a month with school and other stuff going on. The movies don’t introduce Uriah until about the second movie? And I personally feel like he had a key part in helping Tris cope with new surroundings as someone who was used to being in that factor.
Red Rising, the giver, clockwork orange, the running man, article , project Elle, minority report, paycheck, logan’s run, mortal engines (steampunk), the host, Wool, the man in the high castle (alt-reality), atlas shrugged, Unwind, the program, The Girl Who Owned a City, The Postman, the Handmaids tale, enders game, The Lottery (short story), Snow Crash,Battle Royale ,the leftovers, all of philip k dick’s books, & the testing
I tried to read through all the comments so I don’t repeat and a lot of GREAT ones were mentioned. I don’t think I saw The Chemical Garden series by Lauren DeStefano and it was fantastic. I also don’t remember seeing Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. The Dwellers and the Slip series by David Estes. Books of Ender series by Jeanne DuPrau.
