I’ve read all the Angela marsons books loved them and I’m just reading deadly secrets OMG this was supposed to be my holiday book for next week but it won’t last that long . So there my kind of book s thanks every one but if anybody got anything like them recommend please .

Hi @Pete I have only just discovered Angela Marston and making my way through in order , at the same time I heard about her I was given name of another author , James Oswald , tried one & liked it , am on second one now , Prayer for the Dead. Really enjoying it too.

@Maureen I read Cold as the Grave first and liked it, normally I would have gone back to his first one but took a book back to library,thought I would just have quick look & there were 3 there Prayer for Dead , The Damage Done & Written in Bone so I got all three [as you do ?]. Will start at begining after these.

John Sandford’s Prey series. There are loads and all really good. Great character development throughout all the books too. His spin off Virgil Flowers series is also great.

If you want British based crime try Angela Marston based in the Black Country, Steven Dunne & Steven Brown both Derbyshire based. Or try Lee Childs series featuring Jack Reacher.

Not seen the film but there never as good as the book are they .
I’m just finishing deadly secrets by Robert Bryndza gory but if your not sqeemish bloody brilliant

Have you tried the Galway Homicide series starting with Murder on the Old Bog Road? Different, not at all gory, and nice descriptions of the beautiful landscape in the West of Ireland. But then I am a bit biased ……
