Hi Sarah you might like this being an Aussie. If you love gritty crime stories mixed in with a touch of cricket then you’ll enjoy this. https://bit.ly/2Byh4YK
I see Candice Fox won the Ned Kelly Award! Do you normally name the Award after a criminal? Obviously in Australia you do. Perhaps in America you could have the Charlie Manson Award or in the UK the Ronnie Kray Award. None of these characters were actually very pleasant people Ned Kelly included ( not as portrayed by Mick Jagger as a Robin Hood type character in that atrocious film years ago) Perhaps if the the Ned Kelly Award comes with a cash prize it’s only right the money should come from’ bank job’ Perhaps its a snub at the Poms as Ned put one over on the Colonial masters ? Anyway I look forward to winning the ‘ Jack the Ripper Award ‘ for my next crime novel ?. Mal??
Ummmm Ned Kelly came from Irish stock. Anyway Australia had no say it it. The awards were christened that by the Crime Writers Association of Australia. Affectionately know as The Neddies. Do all Poms whinge? They’re our awards….we’ll call them what we want to. BIG RASPBERRY TO YOU. LOL
