Depends on what kind of retelling you are looking for. The Lunar Chronicles by Merida Meyers is fantastic according to my daughter, (I have not gotten to them yet) Book 1: Cinder is about Cinderella with an epic twist.

A tale as old as time
It’s a twisted tale based on beauty and the beast. It gives a huge backstory and then rounded it all out at the end beautifully. The best book I’ve read in forever

My plan is to read Mary Poppins this summer – should be a fun read
The “real” Mary Poppins in the books is nowhere near as perky and sweet as the Disney version. I love the books!
