Twilight ??♀️
Agreed!!!
@Jasmine I second that. I’m a twihard and proud of it
The entire series will forever have an emotional hold on me. Twihard for life!
I think way more people liked it than didn’t like it. The ones who didn’t were just louder. ?
@Jasmine but did people really hate the books, or just the movies? Because I feel like it was mainly the movies.
@Kirsten
That’s actually a really good point! Lol
@Hollie
I know a lot of people that hated the books because of how “annoying” Bella was. But those people also decided to read the books after the movie was popular soo I feel like that makes the their experience a bit different
Twilight got my nephew to start reading, so I love them.
The Summoner series by Gail Z Martin
Smutty adult paranormal romance books. Yeah I know…I know. Guilty pleasure ??♀️
@Channing same girl
your not alone me to ?
Delirium trilogy, I see tons of hate on it and I loved it ?
I’m one of those who hate that book ? Book 1 was okay but there was no point for me to read the rest of the series bec I kind of hate how the author wrote the book.
@Cheyenne I liked the series too ?
Cassandra Hansson I agree the third book was really rushed and I still hate the ending but I honestly do love the series and I really loved the concept
Red Queen ?
@Jessica honestly thought I really enjoyed the book but people hate it and I’m like why
I looove the red queen series ❤❤❤❤
I love it. ?
The Bone Witch ❤️❤️❤️
Twilight Saga
twilight for sure. watching eclipse as i type this ✌️
Twilight, house of night series and divergent series?♥️
Red queen
The Selection series (it may be cheesy but I love them ?)
@Hannah I really liked the first 3 books! The last two not so much…
Last 2 books were my favourites.
Sword of truth series. I loved it.
Literally my favorite series ever
me too
I just finished The Frostblood Saga and really enjoyed it…but have seen that some people didn’t like it at all!
@Stephanie I almost got the first one but it sounded like it was basically the same as Red Queen. Was it?
@Savannah I wouldn’t say its the same. There’s a pretty big difference in terms of the powers, with frostbloods and firebloods (who actually come from different warring kingdoms). Which isn’t really like the silver bloods or how some red bloods have powers…other than the fact both books have characters with powers. Plus a love story…but that’s rather different as well.
@Stephanie thank you ?
@Savannah you’re welcome! Some of the biggest complaints about the book was that the storyline dragged at certain points or the dialogue wasn’t the best in parts. Which I would agree with to some extent (and overall that seems to be a common critique for a lot of YA fantasy)…but still found it to be a very enjoyable read!
Twilight
The Life and Death Parade. By Eliza Wass
Red Queen (the first three books)
Fever by Dee Shulman. Is about a super smart girl and a virus that appeared many centuries ago, and gave a gladiator a very unusual ability and intelligence, and she now has it. They meet in London 2012 and he thinks he is seeing his dead girlfriend, they look very similar and have many things in common. The bad reviews claim that a girl can’t be so smart AND sing very well AND be pretty.
Fighting Destiny series by Amelia Hutchins. I don’t like the writing style and I find it quite trashy but I can’t stop ?
Loved Red Queen, but many did not.
The Hazelwood. A lot of people said they couldn’t get into it but I loved it. Fiercely.
Shatter Me. In general, it’s loved and popular. But there are a fair few who said they couldn’t get past the first book and hated it. I loved it DESPERATELY and I feel physically offended when someone says they don’t like it ?
I need to finish this series! I read Shatter Me the day it was released and never finished the series, but I loved it! It’s on my soon tbr!
@Channing ???
Red Queen, Shatter me, Twilight, the selection, house of night,
Red queen,the selection,the short second life of Bree Tanner,Carve the Mark,
@Sofia I LOVED The Selection up until she decided to write about the daughter.
@Tatiana agreed. I pretend it’s a trilogy and ignore the last two atrocities
@Cheyenne saaaame! Hahaha
@Tiffany YES!!
Red Queen definitely!
I read and loved the Selection series right around the online drama, so I was one of the few at time to give it five stars. It’s been a while since then and most people read it without knowing about the drama so it’s highly rated now, but it wasn’t then and loads of my GR friends have left it a bad review.
@Kirsti I don’t know about it the drama…. I loved it! Now I’m curious
I’m also curious ? I read it years ago and I quite liked it! Although I only read the first 3
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/865517-did-kiera-cass-really-insult-someone-who-didn-t-like-her-book there’s a discussion on GR for anyone who wants to read it.
The All Souls series by Deborah Harkness!!
Hannah Bekka Harman oh, I absolutely love this series and take it quite personally when people hate it! I have such a fangirl crush on Matthew and Diana.
Fallen by Lauren Kate which is my favorite than Twilight One my other favorites
@Kourtney I LOVE Twilight but absolutely DETESTED Fallen!
@Hannah what’s detested mean?
@Kourtney, hated.
@Hannah oh well it’s my favorite ?♀️?♀️?♀️
@Kourtney, what did you like about it?
Oh I loved both of these too ?
I enjoyed fallen
Majority of these listed are highly loved ??♀️?
@Jessica – I think overall the YA genre (specifically fantasy and sci fi) tends to get bad reviews even when they are highly loved books! I have always thought the genre gets too heavily critiqued.
Hush hush
Anything by Sarah J Maas. She is highly scrutinized
@Arianna sjm is a highly praised author ???
Everywhere I go on the internet someone is talking about how problematic she is ?
I am in one for acotar (now another name) and one for tog ??
As someone who has read all the books and really disliked a lot of things about them, I can attest that a lot of people hate her writing.
Ruin and Rising and Queen of Shadows. Most of the fans of both series I’ve come across didn’t like or hated them.
The Night Circus and Eleanor Oliphant
Totally agree about Night Circus!! One of my favorites! I think the people that dislike it actually DNF it and they give up on it too soon! It’s one of those books that doesn’t come together until close to the end and you have to read the whole thing to see the beauty in it.
I haven’t read The Night Circus (I know, I know!) but I LOVED Eleanor Oliphant it was brilliant and truly captures that mental state perfectly imo.
@Tiffany I LOVE them too!! They’re at the top end of my love list.
Guys, I liked 50 Shades…………there, I said it ?
I loved it too! I’m obsessed with Daaaaarrrrrrrkkkkkkk romance ?
Yes girl, same ♥️ People love to talk about how abusive and problematic it is and how it’s an inaccurate representation of healthy BDSM practices, and yada yada. But I think most people are well aware of that and know these types of relationships aren’t okay in real life. It’s a fantasy. And some people have darker fantasies that others, and that’s okay ??♀️
@Channing yessss!!! You should check out Pepper Winters and Penelope Sky!
@Channing Indebted Series by Pepper Winters❤
I liked it too but refuse to see the movies
@Channing it’s one of my favorites lol
Me to, you also would love In Flight ?
Red Queen!!
Beautiful Creatures
@Lillian I loved Beautiful Creatures, too! It makes me sad that everyone hates it so much!
The Heir
Eragon
YES
Beautiful Creatures, Twilight, HoN series, Fallen, Hush Hush, all the oldie YA basically. They’re what got me started though and will always hold a special place in my ❤
All of these except for Fallen I had the hardest time with it. And I havent read hush hush. LOL
@Jessica HoN is such a good one
HoN is my FAVORITE series ?
@Theresa you were probably already to old when you read them.
@Jessica probably but I still love YA. I read Fallen last summer. I just had a really hard time getting through it. I was 36.
@Theresa yes, there are some I definitely can’t read anymore. I’m 35 now and have tried to re-read some that I use to love in my 20’s. Can’t do it.
Twilight
A discovery of witches.
Twilight
Beautiful Creatures (yes I am aware of all of its flaws and love it anyway.)
Delirium series (not everyone hates it but it’s not very popular and not nearly as many like it as I think they should!)
I love these two series, too!
@Jessica me too, loved the delirium series! One of my all time favorite.
Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young!
Beautiful disaster by jamie mcguire
The Chronicles of Nick series
@Jewel I think I got to book 6 or something and got bored. It was that Alternate Reality book.

Last two books in the Selection series are by far my favourites of the series. Especially the last book.
The forgotten book by Mechthild Gläser
The Maze Runner!
Twilight!
Red Queen. I cannot, for the life of me, understand it. I’m pretty sure I’ve read each book in the series at least twice and am nursing the final book because I am terrified for it to end. I love Victoria Aveyard. Her writing style is a masterpiece!
@Melody I couldn’t agree more. My absolute favs
@Janička so glad someone else agrees!
@Melody SAME OMG
@Ashley the worst part is being the only one you know who’s read it so you have no one to talk to about it lol
