I loved Devil’s Arithmetic when I was in school. It’s one of the books that really stuck with me from my childhood.

I have only seen the movie, but I knew it was a book. I just read Milkweed about a month ago.

As the waltz was ending by Emma macalik butterworth. It’s an autobiography but it’s really good. About a girl from Vienna that was in the state ballet. And it just shows how her world was effected by the war and the depression

I recommend Nimitz by E.B. Potter. Not only an excellent biography of the great Admiral, but also a concise, single volume account of the Pacific War.
